We have been manufacturing reproduction Porsche 500s since 2011.
We have also restored an original 550A and Porsche 718RSK.
Working on original Porsches gives a real insight and feel on how original 550s were manufactured. The original cars had about eight hundred hard solid rivets. There were no pop rivets in the original 550s.
On our reproduction Porsches, the outer skin is hand-wheeled, gas welded and planished and body filed to a very high standard of finish.
The inner panels, front and rear wheel arches are manufactured the same as the original cars with the front wings and rear wings fully welded to the wheel arches as on the original Porsche 550s.
